We the undersigned hereby petition the President and the Board of Trustees of the Park Avenue Armory Conservancy to offer Fall event dates to the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show in 2016.

We have become aware that the Armory Board through its' President, Rebecca Robertson has advised the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show that it will not be offered show dates in 2016 or thereafter.  The New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show has been running continuously in one form or another for a period of 35 years. I have attended or participated in the show at one time or another during its long history and found it to be a wonderful cultural experience. 

The Armory has historically been the site of Art, Antique & Jewelry events and presentations for approximately 100 years and is an unduplicatable location for such events.  While I understand the board emphasis on original performance art, the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show is performance art of a different but similar nature exposing visitors to the best of human created items over the last 2000 years.

I, therefore, petition the President and the Board of Directors of the Park Avenue Conservancy to reconsider their position and to allow the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show to continue to provide a unique cultural experience in the historic Park Avenue Armory.
