Keep CAI students meeting in person

Keep CAI students meeting in person
Christian Academy has gone above and beyond CDC protocol to keep the students and staff safe at school. We as parents (and representing our children) want to keep the school meeting in person even if our county “falls into the red” with regard to the COVID outbreak. Floyd county commissioners need to read the Indiana covid update that states schools do not need to close if we “go into the red” and the Floyd county health department has overstepped its boundaries by asking us to close.
To the best of our knowledge, CAI has:
-increased cleaning protocol
-is able to socially distance their students and staff/keep the children in small cohorts
-installed a PurGenix filtration system to kill bacteria/viruses in the air
-restricted guests allowed in the building
-requires all to wear masks
-has a strict health screening performed by parents every morning and the staff does temperature checks before the children enter the building
-is not low on staff and is able to provide necessary substitutes to keep the children in school
-has had ZERO cases of COVID in the elementary/middle school since we started in late July
-offers a virtual option for those that prefer not to attend in person
Parents want CAI to know:
-our children WANT to be in learning person
-our children need to maintain their face to face relationships with their teachers and friends
-teachers have expressed they are willing to make the sacrifice to be with our children
