Bottle Feeding- to be promoted by Government in the same way

When attempting to use a boots voucher to pay for some Aptamil 1 First Milk Powder, I was mortified to discover they do not allow you to use the voucher or collect boots points because they promote "Breast is Best". On investigating with customer services, I discovered this is actually a government policy where they want to promote Breast feeding your babies for the first weeks of their lives over bottle feeding.
My dream was the breast feed, but after a very dramatic birth my baby daughter wouldn't take my breast. I spend hours with midwives grabbing me, breast feeding experts talking me th..rough endless contradicting techquies and expressing using a breast pump and as a result of this battle I had to spend an additional 2 days in hospital after my daughter was discharged as she wasn't feeding. This broke my heart and I feel was impacting the bond between us. At the advice of a wonderful midwife who saw my anxiety building, I moved to formula.
I get that there are multiple amazing benefits of breast feeding. But to penalise those who CANNOT breastfeed is shocking. It would appear no shop in the country is allowed to apply promotions to stage one milk powder. I think this is wrong and makes me feel like a failure.
