Keep IMPLICIT BIAS/DIVERSITY IDEOLOGY out of ESUSD!

Let's discuss these ideas, and sort out exactly what is being taught. It is complicated.

The United States was created on the ideas of equality and freedom, not oppression and power struggles. We work as individuals in the United States, every day to be better, but we can only do that by seeing each person as an individual, not merely a member of a certain race or ethnicity. 

You already know that the true intention of education should lean towards how to successfully guide learners of all ethnicities to harmoniously function in a multi-cultural society, acknowledge and value students’ similarities, not the differences, and that it is your obligation to insist that education create an ever evolving mindset that is cooperative and constructive.

"Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)" programs are an academic movement, which seek to link racism, race, and power. It challenges the very foundations of America’s education system, like rationalism, constitutional law and legal reasoning. DEI theorists argue that American social life, political structures and economic systems are founded on race.

We have been told by DEI that speech is violence, and then we are told that silence is violence. These definitions are not only confusing, but they're dangerous. DEI is explicitly designed to shut down dialogue and bully people (teachers, in this case) into pledged agreement that reduces individuals to their group identity and judges them accordingly. This DEI is not logical. Wake up, parents, and stop this madness, before all of the definitions have been turned upside down!

This is ironically the exact opposite of what Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream was: THAT WE BE JUDGED ON THE CONTENT OF OUR CHARACTER AND NOT THE COLOR OF OUR SKIN.

Many people are now afraid to disagree with the ideas put forth by Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. That is not a good sign. Having thought police within the school system endangers the purity of real diversity…of thought.

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Do you want Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs in all of the ESUSD schools? 

Do you want your kids to be taught VICTIMHOOD or EMPOWERMENT? 

Do you want our taxpayer dollars to go towards this DEI ideology in schools, or to teaching reading and writing?

Do you want ESUSD teachers to HAVE to attend MANDATORY DIVERSITY TRAININGS, and take IMPLICIT BIAS TESTING (proven NOT to be reliable or valid), and then PLEDGE their loyalty to these ideas?

YOU HAVE IT WITHIN YOUR POWER to question who is making these decisions.

YOU HAVE IT WITHIN YOUR POWER to be informed what material is being chosen.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to receive an answer as to why such a separation of cultures and ethnicities is being duplicitously promoted as diversity. 

When are you going to DEMAND ANSWERS, DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY, and VOICE YOUR OPINION to the “experts” who are being given free rein to influence the developing minds of your daughters and sons?
