Kellie Sipos started this petition to Parents and Grandparents and

July 22 Nd 2018 my 24 year old daughter passed away. Her 6 year old daughter was in the custody of her Daddy. He was great after her passing, let us see her. Take her for days at a time. My goodness his new baby mama and him even let us have her on her Birthday. My daughter was an Addict, she unfortunately lost the battle. My  granddaughters dad was also an addict.  He got clean, Met a new girl and had a baby boy this past September.

After 6 months and two misunderstandings they will no longer let us see her. First  while at an Easter egg hunt she had an accident in her pants. She took her underwear off and threw them in the portal let ( I found them in there the next day after I was accused of letting her wear no underwear ).  She did not smell like poop when I put her in the car to take her home, yet her father says she could barely walk that her bum was so irritated. I have been accused of not giving her baths, if she doesn’t get one in the tub she gets a sponge bath in my bathroom sink. I grew up getting sponge baths.  I only did this when she wasn’t dirty we had been swimming and I just wanted to get the chlorine off her. After the Easter incident we were not allowed to see her for five weeks when her dad finally allowed me to have her back it was only for the day. They sent no change of clothes with her. The clothes I have at my house no longer fit her as she is growing so quickly. I had no idea I had nothing that would fit her until she had an accident at my house, I gave her a bath  went to put clothes on her and nothing fit her. She said they were fine and her papa took her home. The stepmother is now accusing me of not cleaning her or knowing how to dress her properly.  For this reason they once again decided not to let us see her. I begged her father as this hurts her more than it does me. I asked if we could sit and talk, no answer they blocked me from their phones.

WE  as grandparents have no rights to our grandchildren in the state of Florida. This is wrong they are our blood, to me it is all I have left of my daughter. I raised this child for the first 5 years of her life with the help of the dad and the other grandmother. We paid for her preschool ,  I took her to doctor appointments allergy testing you name it. 13 times her dad forgot to pick her up at preschool and my husband had to.One of those times My husband went to the house with no answer, I was in the hospital with double knee replacement surgery and got a text message the next day that Hannah, my grand daughter’s father’s girlfriend had died in bed with  him. Thank God my granddaughter was not there.

His mother lives next-door and I trust her and that she is keeping an eye on the situation. My reason for this petition is to get 10,000 signatures of grandparents who are going through the same thing as me. I would then like at minimum 1000 grandparents to email me so that I have their contact information to go to Tallahassee and take a stand with this petition.  Governor DeSantis will be well aware of what we are doing, I will have media there covering the story to hopefully be shown throughout the state of Florida

WE ARE THEIR BLOOD WE DESERVE TO SEE THEM!!

My granddaughter cries clings to me and begs not to go home but to stay with me and Papa. She asks over and over again when she will see me again. The last time I  saw her I let her know it was up to her daddy and her stepmom.  She has never been allowed to go to the memorial gardens where her mother is laid to rest or have more than two pictures of her mother. Her dad feels it brings back too many memories her being in my house.

Please, please help me and sign this petition if you are a grandparent going through the same thing as me please email me at Kellie.sipos@gmail.com. We need to do local and state wide stand in this and get this on the media. God bless the rest of you who are going through What we are going through. I praise God for leaving a little piece of my daughter left on this earth, yet I  don’t get to see her.  This legislative rule or law is wrong and we need to get it changed NOW
