Parents and Community Members of MRUSD recently our Superintendent Bill Kimball, unilaterally, decided to not allow MRUSD to celebrate holidays.  This came as a complete surprise!  Holidays are celebrated by different cultural groups all over the world for different reasons. To develop deeper multicultural understanding and respect for differences, a variety of cultures must be represented and celebrated. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about "ALL" traditions.  This decision is very exclusive especially in a time when we are trying to bring together our community and embrace everyone.  This petition is to let our Superintendent know this is not something we support and ask that he reverse his decision.
