SUPPORT FOR OPTIONAL MASKING IN RTSD

SUPPORT FOR OPTIONAL MASKING IN RTSD
Please do NOT donate to this petition. All donations go to change.org. Signatures are all that is needed. Thank you!
We, the following parents, students, and community members of Radnor Township School District, support the district moving to optional masking in a timely manner. As Dr. Rubin from CHOP PolicyLab has stated, masking should be time limited and should move to optional as case counts and hospitalizations decrease.
The case count in Delaware County has a steep decline in new cases in the past month. We have seen a decrease in cases from a daily case count of 1,451 cases as of January 9th to 260 cases as of February 2nd.
Dr. Rubin has written, “We would agree that moving to mask optional policies makes sense. It allows families to decide what they’d like to do. And we are supportive of that transition.” We support families and students that continue to wear masks. We do not support mandating masks, in our district buildings, for all.
We ask the district and school board to follow the recommendation of CHOP PolicyLab, as we have been doing all year, and vote yes to optional masking at the February 22nd school board meeting.
