Hi my name is Velma Caldwell I am a mother of a student at Bloomington Jr. High School located in Bloomington, Illinois 

On Monday 05/09/2022 my daughter was physically assaulted by 4 individuals after months of me reporting to the school she was being bullied. Not only did I reach out to the school my daughter made teachers, counselors, and administrators well aware of her fear and concern of safety within there facility. As a result of being attacked she suffered a concussion from the incident and since has been in extreme pain 

I since have had no help from the school or Bloomington police department in holding those who did this accountable I am being shut out because I refuse to stay silent that the school failed to provide a safe environment for my child 

I am asking all parents who have ever been a victim to bullying or fighting at this school to please sign this petition as we need to do something for a change in this school system they need to be held accountable for their lack of concern or regard for our children’s safety 

As parents of this district it is our responsibility to hold the school accountable to speak up for our kids to speak up for our kids safety 

Let’s make a change and make school safe again!!
