Middle schools in Clarke County are enforcing (with little to no consistency) school uniforms rather than “dress code” policies despite the majority of families being against it.  We believe there are far more important and impactful issues to tackle for our children in the years to come. We believe uniforms are unduly restrictive, down to the color of the shirts? We believe this doesn’t save money for parents, as it is a secondary wardrobe, meaning we have to monitor two sets of clothes in the years many children are growing the most. Nor does it promote the “equality” it touts because middle schoolers find things focus on regardless. This is a silly, unnecessary, and superficial policy and we are requesting a parent survey before final decisions are made for the 2023-2024 school year.
