We live in a society where women constantly feel the need to have to prove their self worth. In the film industry, there is an abundance of male individuals taking up roles that woman are as capable of taking on. In this day and age, women still are having to prove that they have the ability to take on male dominated roles in the film industry. Female moviegoers want to see more women behind the camera, bringing female-driven stories to the big screen. According to a Fandango survey of 1,000 female moviegoers, "85 percent said they want to see more female ensemble films, up from 75 percent last year. When a female director is hired, there’s a higher chance that other women will join the production." Having more women in the film industry will assure women that their voice is being heard. It's time for women to get the recognition they deserve and the jobs they are entitled for. Let's encourage the world to become more open to rewarding women in the film industry so that women from years to come get the acknowledgment they lay claim to. Imagine all the ideas and movies that can come out of allowing the female vision to transpire! Let us come together and support women empowerment.
