The television show Cops needs to be taken off the air because it promulgates racist and racism-adjacent content, unhealthy entertainment, and is very disturbing to see on television.  It also makes money off social ills.  This is terrible for people of color, poor individuals, people suffering from mental illness and those that live with addiction.  When we add all those populations together, we see that they make up a significant portion of Americans. In these politically charged times, it is very important that we make it clear what we stand for as a country.  Pop culture, entertainment and television are all a direct reflection of the values we hold.  If we were to measure our values as Americans by the yard stick of the Cops Television series, what would that say about us as a nation and individuals?  Please join me in asking Paramount Network and 20th Television (the companies that distribute it) as well as as John Langley Productions to end production and take it off the air.
