Papua New Guinea is enlisted in the top ten countries vulnerable to the effects of Climate Change. Of the many drastic effects that our people face, the worst will have to be natural disasters, which wipe out many homes, and in a country where poverty rates are high many people are left vulnerable. 

One of the groups identified as vulnerable is the community of people living with disabilities. Many times during natural disasters the disabled people are left to fend for themselves, we need laws that allow for accessibility for the disabled community. 

We are calling on the PNG Government to have a plan put in place for the safe transport and care for every disabled person in PNG during natural disasters. We are aware of the evacuation plans put in place, but how does the community take part in this evacuation?
