Save PS Golf - Tahquitz Creek Golf Courses
Oswit Land Trust (OLT) has approached the Palm Springs city council with intentions to purchase the municipal Tahquitz Creek Golf Courses. OLT's intention is to convert the golf courses into a desert preserve. The appraisal has already been completed and is with an independent reviewer to validate the appraised value.
The municipal course has been a part of Palm Springs history since 1959. Attracting people from all over, the Tahquitz Creek Golf Courses offer some of the most affordable golf in the Coachella Valley. The courses are used by a number of individuals and organizations, including the American FootGolf League and even some of the local high schools. The Tahquitz Creek Legends course is a unique shape, with fairways flowing throughout the surrounding neighborhood, offering spectacular open-space for everyone to enjoy.
Let us send the Palm Springs city council a message that we will not stand for the conversion of our golf courses. As municipal courses, it is the people that pay for the golf courses and we chose not to let the courses go. Voice your opinion by signing this petition, showing your support for the golf courses to remain one of the largest recreational public parklands in the city.
