So many paddlers of small hand carry watercraft would love to kayak, canoe, paddle board on the Coweeman River in Kelso City Limits near the Dairy Queen with ample parking spaces to handle visitors from all over the Northwest once some ample adequate easy access to the water is established.

Simple stairs with a Kayak wooden slide to the water would open the door to paddlers from all over to come Visit Kelso and put a Safe Flat Water Very Little Current with a lake like Paddling destination that you can paddle up river 3 miles or more and down river 3 miles to where it connects to the Cowlitz River and ultimately the Columbia River and could connect to Rainier, Oregon Kayak Launch Beach and Willow Grove if someone wanted to get some miles in.

Short story Kelso City Council, open the door for Paddlers to raise funds for anything needed to make the Kelso Kayak Park Project Vision of many years become a reality and paddlers can visit Kelso and also local businesses benfit from local shopping such as restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, brew pubs, Sporting Goods Stores selling kayaks and gear and lastly paddlers help keep the waterways and neighborhoods clean and inviting for others in the community to enjoy such as those walking or biking on the Coweeman River Levee Dike.
