The recent fire at Kamla Mills cost 14 lives.
This tragedy could have been avoided, had there been fire approvals, periodic inpections, and adequate fire fighting equipment - alarms and extinguishers, at the site. It is important that the approved plan has sufficient exit points, and the material is fire retarndant.
The fire approval needs to be validated annually and displayec at the entrance - just as is done with elevators.
The guilty must be identified and penal action needs to be taken at the earliest. Justice delayed is justice denied.
Action and remedial should be taken when this tragedy is fresh in every one's mind.
