Why this petition matters

Started by Anonymous L

The Poway Unified School District P.E. Department is grading students on how fast they are, or how good the do in a sport. That is not right. They should grade students on how much effort they put into P.E. Some kids just can’t get 100% on the mile run, or they don’t have hand-feet coordination. It is unfair for the kids who try, but aren’t good enough to get an A.
As a student personally effected by this problem, I would like to step in to change it. A way the P.E. Teachers can see if we are effectively showing effort is by have a mile run to see our times, and if we improve the next time, we can get points for it. This is not how you get kids to like exercising.
Poway Unified Students, we can change this.
