Pōwhiri ceremony for workers to NZSki fields

Pōwhiri ceremony for workers to NZSki fields
Why this petition matters
NZSki is a giant business that profits off some of our most scenic and special places.
We need your support to bring to the company in order to meet our demand - respect the wairua (spirit) of the land we work on, and the people who will work it.
What makes New Zealand different? What makes Aotearoa whenua (land) special? How can we welcome in a new season of work appropriately, and properly?
This year members of the NZSki workforce were shocked to not be welcomed on to the Opuke (Mt Hutt) maunga (mountain). We are calling for this to change. NZSki has the power to do this.
Pōwhiri (or pōhiri) is a standard opening ceremony - as a tourist destination and representative of members of Aotearoa, NZSki should be held against this standard in their operation of the sacred maunga of New Zealand.
