The current singular form of ‘sheep’ is illogical and frustrating. Why must the singular and plural form be the same? It’s confusing. Are we talking about one sheep or multiple sheep? It affects everyone speaking and learning the language. It would make more sense for it to be shoop and sheep - like goose and geese, tooth and teeth or foot and feet.
This needs to change. The Oxford English dictionary should officially change the word to shoop and we should slowly start to introduce this to our citizens. We must teach it in schools so new generations grow up speaking correct English.
I am a concerned citizen of the UK. I believe the English language should be the best it can. I want to say shoop because shoop makes sense.
