Save the Stone House, Hooksett NH, from Demolition

Save the Stone House, Hooksett NH, from Demolition
The Issue
This distinctive Hooksett home, completed in 1938, has been found eligible for listing on both the NH State Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places.
The NH Division of Historical Resources called it “an excellent example of an early 20th century period house, executed in stone with Tudor Revival details. Period houses are uncommon in NH, early 20th century fieldstone houses are rare.” In Hooksett? This is it--the only one!
Unless an alternative to the current plan is found, the developer proposes to demolish this unique home to make way for another storage facility. Please join us in urging RCA Holdings, LLC, to reconsider destroying this one-of-a-kind architectural gem. DEMOLITION IS FOREVER--A STORAGE BUILDING IS NOT!
Please help ASAP. There is a public hearing set for Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 35 Main Street, Hooksett, at which the applicant is invited to hear comments and possible alternatives. The results of this petition will be shared at that time.
