Julia Stamberger started this petition to owner(s) of Hamburger Mary's

We, the undersigned Rogers Park neighbors, would like to express our support for having Hamburger Mary's, a very fine food & theater venue, move up to Chicago's 49th Ward and the Rogers Park neighborhood. Why Rogers Park?  We're a great group of progressive neighbors who love great food and entertainment and supporting small and diverse businesses in our neighborhood. Many of us are long term RP residents with roots going back 10-50+ years in the community; others are newer neighbors who are fitting right in and adding to our diversity and clan.  Having just lost a key establishment that was a cornerstone of our community (The Heartland Cafe), we're looking to add more great options to our neighborhood. Well-loved and patronized locales here include Rogers Park Social, R Public House, and more, including newcomer Le Piano. We have an amazing theater scene, within walking distance of a number of great possible locations for a Rogers Park Hamburger Mary's. And you'll have full support throughout our community, with both patrons and politicians: we have a great new alderwoman, Maria Hadden, who is excited to bring new business to the community which fit with the needs and character of our neighbors (Maria is also the first LBGTQ woman on the Chicago City Council), and we're part of Kelly Cassidy's district as well - we're progressive and we vote and act that way. We have excellent rent values for businesses still available, and some great locations (parking-friendly) on Sheridan and on Morse that might be well suitable (check out the former Rogers Pier location at Sheridan and Pratt, or the Mayne Stage on Morse near Glenwood). Give us a try, you'll find us fun, friendly, and willing to support the heck out of businesses that are meaningful to us!
