According to motivation theory promotion is part of Reward for diligent staffs.
In the Nigeria health sectors from the primary to tertiary health institutions Nurses play a major roles, the importance and contribution of Nurses can not be underestimated and overemphasized.
Infact according to International Council of Nurses, the main function of a Nurses is to promote health, Prevent illnesses and diseases, Alleviate suffering.
should they be payback with deprivation that has made lots to suffer psychological Imbalance even in the midst of heavy brain drain.
Deprivation of promotion of eligible Nurses:
Will create unfriendly relationship between Nurses and break of Nursing ethics and etiquette i.e when a junior colleague is been promoted over his or her senior colleague and many more.
Will foster unemployment rate.
Increase stagnation in civil service.
Will increase resignation from public service.
Will reduce quality of care, efficiency, productivity and job satisfaction.
All Nigeria Nurses in Nigeria and Diaspora say no to deprivation of eligible Nurses that are due for promotion!!!
We all are demanding that henceforth promiprom should be Automatic!!!!
We can't be enslaved in our own father land!!!!!
How can a 2hrs examination determine the input of 3years!!!!!!
It's subjecting Nurses to unnecessary exhaustion, bribery and unwarranted humiliations!!!!!
order to Prevent the EXODUS of Nigerian Nurses to the Western World all NURSES due for Promotion should be promoted automatically with immediate effect and only with APER form !!!!!!!!!!!!!
