Outlaw gun modifications allowing automatic-like firing

Devices exist that modify semi automatic weapons such that they can release fire at a rate similar to fully automatic weapons. These devices circumvent any laws against fully automatic weapons or illegal weapon modifications by the fact that one bullet is fired per trigger pull. The devices alter the manner in which a trigger is pulled either by pulsating a shooters finger or mechanically pressing the trigger, both at a rate similar to a fully automatic weapon. This type of modification was used in the tragic October 1st 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas. Some common names for these products are "Bump stocks", "Slide stocks", and "Rotary triggers".
Independent of how you feel about gun control, there exists no need whatsoever for a person to acquire such gun modifications. Please, consider what devices such as these can do, and now have done, in the wrong hands.
