If you spank your kids, I’m not judging you. My goal is to inform you on some of the negative effects spanking has on the well-being of our children that you might not be aware of. 

Ever wonder why you’re so easily angered, why you struggle with emotions, anxiety, depression or mental health issues? Why you get road rage or struggle to advocate for yourself by setting healthy boundaries? Why you accept people mistreating you or why your first reaction when angered is to get physical? Those are some of the potential signs of trauma from getting hit as a child (among other things, of course).

I truly believe the root of why we are so violent as a society is because we are experiencing violence in the home at young ages.

Please give my full proposal a read, which is attached to this petition, and let’s take a step in ending violence and generational trauma. You didn’t deserve to get hit as a child and your children/future children don’t either.
