Sunday May 15th ,2022 will be a day that some of remember for the rest of our lives. The day has finally come where all of our achievements are being recognized as we graduate from the 1st Degree Granting Historical Black College, Lincoln University of PA. This is a time where all of family and friends who have watched us grow come together and celebrate us as we walk the stage, but with the changes that have been made, they won’t get to do so. Our commencement ceremony was scheduled to be on the “U” but due to “inclement weather conditions”, our ceremony has been moved to the gym. Being moved to the gym only allows you to have 2 tickets and then everybody else can go to designated areas of the school to watch live stream. This is a inconvenience because a lot of us have already invited a lot of people, and in which some people are coming from far distances. On SUNDAY MAY 15th 2022, THE WEATHER FORECAST HAS NO SHOWING OF INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS. This petition is to keep our graduation on the lawn of the “U” and to have the celebration with family and friends that we deserve.
