Me and my best friend where in a car accident about two years ago. The girl that hit us was high on prescription medication almost causing a bunch of accidents, until her luck ran out crash her car head on to ours. Killing my girlfriend instantly and sending me to the hospital with a cracked sternum and months of recovering. My girlfriend never gets to come home again and the girl that hit us is already back home living her life. My girlfriend left behind a sixteen year old daughter with and an 8 month old granddaughter. There lives would never be the same. I feel like our court system failed her daughter and granddaughter and made it like my friends life never mattered. The girl that hit us was sentenced to six years in prison. She never stepped foot in prison was in county jail for a year and than went to a rehabilitation for a year. I feel she should do her time she killed Someone for god sake. I don’t know who can do something about this but as a community from friend to friend mother to mother daughter to daughter we the people could put her in prison and make her do her time.
