Zioness Pledge for International Women’s Day: I Condemn Bigotry
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!
Today is International Women’s Day.
As we honor over a century of struggle for women’s rights around the world, Zioness is bringing our community together to take a pledge with a simple message: we condemn bigotry in all of its forms.
In recent days, we have seen some figures on the left condone, ignore, or excuse the views of an anti-Semitic, homophobic, misogynistic national figure—Louis Farrakhan. We think progressive and intersectional movements can and must do better.
Please sign and share the pledge below. Stand with us against bigotry in all of its forms.
The Zioness Pledge
My political engagement will be guided by these three principles:
- I reject hateful ideologies. I will not condone any form of hatred based on innate traits, including gender identity, racial or ethnic identities, religion, or sexual orientation.
- I reject individuals and movements that traffic in hateful ideologies. As Maya Angelou said: "When someone tells you who they are, believe them.” I will not excuse vile, bigoted statements or the people who make them.
- My actions will live up to my principles. I will treat others with respect and dignity, regardless of their background. I will listen to others. I will act to advance social justice for all people.
I pledge to do better, to be better, and to make the world a better place for all of us.
