- Parks and recreation facilities are incredibly important for a healthy, vibrant community, and for citizens reaping the benefits of having a health community. These recreation or community centres provide opportunities for residents to be active and to interact with other people. They are common ground areas that are focused on inclusivity, while fostering a culture of health and well-being in the communities they serve.
- However this is not the case with our recreation centre, the community at large do no have access to the centre instead it is commercialised as we pay as much as R1000 to book a venue to fascilitate a community project or worse conduct a community meeting.
- Can this be Correct?
- We need City of Johannesburg to outline and assist the community of WARD 57 How our recreation centre should strengthen the Community.
- WHY ARE WE PAYING SO MUCH TO UTILISE OUR RECREATION CENTRE
- WHY there is so much gatekeeping and certain groups of individual access the Centre and others are told its fully booked or quoted ridiculous fees
- Who are the tenants and sub tenants of this Recreation Centre
- Why is this Centre not including everyone, Our NGOs NPOs run their community projects at the corner of the streets whilst we have a Centre that is fully booked.
- Is Our Recreation Center a business facility or a Community Centre
- Please the Community of Ward 57 Need an Induction Workshop and Transparency on the operational activities on this particular Center.
