Why this petition matters

Started by Mark Murray

The Oswego County Sheriff's Office recently attended a flotilla in support of Donald Trump, and flew a campaign flag on a publicly owned patrol boat. On board were Sherriff Don Hill, Sergeant Timothy Brown, and others. This is in direct violation of the Hatch Act of 1939, which prohibits federal employees from engaging in political activities while on duty, in a government room or building, while wearing an official uniform, or while using a government vehicle. The penalty structure for violations of the Hatch Act by federal employees includes removal from federal service, reduction in grade, debarment from federal employment for a period not to exceed 5 years, suspension, reprimand, or a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000.

Let's hold them accountable, since nobody else will. We're talking to you, William J. Barlow. Make calls to the sheriff's office, the mayor's office, and file complaints with the Federal Office of Special Council. Get them fired.
