Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins Jr. committed a crime of impersonating a law enforcement officer. Mr. Hawkins uses an honorary sheriff's badge to try and pass as a deputy in an official capacity at this HOA meeting. This badge has no law enforcement authority (arresting powers or official duty powers) and is given as a symbolic gesture by the Sheriff. What makes this incident even worse is Mr. Hawkins is wearing his campaign polo shirt as this was a political stunt that went very bad. I urge Sheriff Russ Gibson to revoke - suspend the honorary badge from Commissioner Fred Hawkins Jr., and that appropriate charges be brought. Fred Hawkins Jr. has disgraced and discredited real law enforcement officers.  What a shame that a man would disgrace the hard-working men and women of law enforcement just for a political stunt to try and help his campaign for State House. In a recorded video there is sufficient audio evidence of Fred Hawkins Jr. stating " I am a sheriff and with the sheriff office, he was not in any uniform and was wearing a campaign polo shirt that stated Fred Hawkins 2020 for HD 42. He then Threatens the security guard on duty you're about o get arrested then shoves her to get inside. At this point claiming assault by which causing a real Sheriff deputy to arrest the security guard. All charges against the security guard were dropped by the court and the court's opinion mirror this declaration.
