Re: Opposition to CPA 16–0009, Buracos Property Investment LLC.
Buracos Property Investment LLC has applied to change the future land use of 103–104 acres of our Rural Enclave area ( 1 residents per 5 acres) to low density residential (CPA 16–0009) and to change the zoning map designation of this acreage from agricultural development and conservation to low density residential. Low density residential allows for 3-8 single family residence is per acre (homes or attached town homes). This acreage is on and west of Boggy Creek Road, south of Simpson Road, and north of Great Oaks Boulevard. It includes six lots of Great Oaks subdivision.
We the undersigned, owners of property and/or residence in the vicinity of the Buracos property, and/or residents of Osceola County who travel on Boggy creek road daily, vigorously oppose any change in the FLUM and zoning designations.
A density from 1 residents per 5 acres to 40 residences per 5 acres will adversely impact all nearby properties by:
1-Increasing traffic on already crowded Boggy Creek Road. (This is our main concern. We are already spending an absurd amount of time trying to get to and from work on this extremely busy road).
2-Decreasing property values of adjacent properties.
3-Adversely impacting the existing rural character of the area.
4-Requiring greater services such as schools, fire protection
and law enforcement.
For these reasons, we urge the County commissioners to deny these requests.
