Create separate Oscar categories for makeup and hairstyling

In 1994 at the 66th Academy Awards, the best achievement in makeup became shared when hairstylists were allowed in to the makeup Oscar category (It wasn't until 2012 that the name was officially changed to reflect this). Congrats to the Mrs. Doubtfire makeup crew and to the hairstylists.

The Academy of Arts and Sciences now recognizes the amazing talents of the hairstylists and is applauded. However, now two separate arts are competing within one category and that's not fair.

The art of hairstyling and the art of makeup deserve their own Oscar categories.

Time for change.  It does happen if you make the effort.
"The competitive category was created in 1981 as the Academy Award for Best Makeup, after the Academy received complaints that the make-up work in The Elephant Man (1980) was not going to be honored."
