I’d like to bring some awareness to some possible upcoming changes that I feel the community needs to be made aware of. 

An organization that has been apart of the Oroville community for 52 years is about to be pushed into changing their name and colors to fit the agenda of the OHS athletic director and owner of SYF. OHS hired a new head varsity football coach that is also pushing the change. Many of the current board members are strongly against this change and unfortunately cannot do much to stop it. 

This is where we need the help of the community. The Oroville Rhinos have been apart of the community since 1970 and is a tradition in many of our households. Please let Mr. Fraizer know what being apart of the Oroville Rhinos met to you and why we should remain Rhinos and not become the Oroville Jr Tigers. Please be respectful. This is to bring awareness to our community about how important it is to remain the Rhinos.

A bit of history on why Rhinos had to sign with a high school. 

The Oroville Rhinos is apart of Sacramento Youth Football (SYF) in order to become a member of SYF we had to be a ‘feeder’ team for our local high school. We decided as a board to sign with Oroville High School (OHS). It was extremely important to the members of our association that we would remain the Oroville Rhinos with our blue and black colors. This was three years ago when our old youth football organization Nor Cal Fed dissolved. The 3 year contract with SYF and OHS is up and needs to be signed.
