SWITCH PUBLIC AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH TO ORGANIC LANDCARE

The undersigned turn to the officials of Ormond Beach to provide a safe and healthy environment for all residents by ending the use of cancerous pesticides and fertilizers in public areas.
Glyphosate is currently sprayed onto our roadsides where children walk to school, and our parks where they play. We live near two bodies of water and these toxic chemicals are also running off into them. For the health of our families and our pets we move to not only ban glyphosate but all harmful chemicals in an organic landcare approach.

Future generations will look back on the past two decades in disbelief, not understanding how we could have ignored the obvious as glyphosate began to permeate our food, our water, our very source of life- soil and much else. The use of this chemical was introduced in 1974 by the Monsanto corporation and is directly in sync with a massive rise of debilitating diseases. Thirty countries have banned the use of this pesticide all together.

There is no outsmarting nature or the microbes around us. We were meant to live in harmony with nature not find loopholes or attempt to outsmart it. Switching to organic land care is not the trendy thing to do, it is the right thing to do. Organic communities are a return to tradition. Organic care even has the potential to save our city money over time. When there is an attempt to bypass the laws of nature all efforts will fail 100% of the time.
I have partnered with a non-profit dedicated to not only banning glyphosate but helping communities make the switch to organic.
