Save Ishnala Woods Park
Save Ishnala Woods Park
The Orland Park Recreational Advisory Board and Mayor are planning to build a regulation sized baseball field in Ishnala Woods Park that will be used for scheduled games and practices and may be used for travel baseball teams. This will create traffic problems in the immediate vicinity. Every day of the summer we will have cars parked right in front of our houses. Our small park will become crowded by far away visitors. The previous "multi-use" field that was used for soccer, baseball, football and other outdoor activities will now only be used for baseball. There will be an ugly perimeter fence around the field. Baseballs that go "long" will end up in our backyards.
Our property values will drop because of the amount of traffic that will come through our quiet neighborhood.
We need a multi-use field as before. We need to keep our small park from being used as a professional field. We need to keep the traffic away from our quiet neighborhoods.
