Parent’s petition against face mask mandate for students in Orland Park, district 135 in Illinois. Kids should NOT have to wear masks in the classroom, on the playground, in gym class or anywhere else that they might learn, run, and flash their joyful and infectious smiles. According to the CDC statistics, 99.99 percent of kids (under 18) do not die from COVID. The portion of children who die from COVID is about 0.00098 percent. Enough with the masks! Face masks on students should be the parent’s choice.

According to the WHO-World Health Organization guidelines, which recommend against masking children ages 5 and younger, because this age group is at low risk of illness, because masks are not “in the overall interest of the child,” and because many children are unable to wear masks properly. Follow the WHO guildelines, Orland Park schools.

Our children are sitting in school and on the bus for over 8 hours a day, with their mask on and limited mask breaks. My daughter is suffocating in her mask, can’t catch her breath and now doesn’t enjoy school.

Let’s all do what’s best for our children and not politics!
