Oregon Treasury has currently invested 5.3 billion dollars in fossil fuel companies. We want them to divest from these harmful corporations because of the large-scale harm they are doing to Oregon, and the world. Instead, we demand they re-invest their money in climate-safe companies. As students, we think it is an important thing to fight for what makes the future not only healthier but also a habitable space for our generation that is growing up and facing the multitude of problems caused by climate change.
