“Please Sign My Hate Crime Petition”

May 31, 2019

This Petition Pertains to ‘Those Who are Without Housing’ (the House-less) and the Poor, Low-Income of Our State. Those Affected Are the House-less. Elderly, Disabled, Mentally Ill, Veterans, Youth, Families and Those Living in Their Vehicles. The Poor and Low-Income.

We the People of the United States. Located in the State of Oregon and in the Surrounding Area of Jackson County, “Have Had Enough of the Abuse of the Poor and Low-Income, Homeless of Our Community.”

We Demand That it be Made a Hate Crime, to Target, the Poor or Homeless.

We Demand That There Be No Laws or Ordinances, That Criminalize Poverty or Homelessness. And Included Are, Those Who Feed or Help This Group. Poverty is Not a Crime; Homelessness is Not a Crime. The State of Oregon Says, Living in Your Vehicle is Not a Crime. Our Local Government Has Effectively Criminalized These Three Groups.

This Target Group are Citizens of Our Community. Many Were Born Here and Have Lived Here the Majority of Their Lives. We Must Not Dehumanize, Demonize, and Then Exterminate Them. This is the United Nations’ Definition of the Process of Genocide.

Also, Crimes Against Parents Who Find Themselves Without a Home. Targeted by Government Agencies Such as; Children Protective Services, Department of Human Services. CPS/DHS. Taking Children Due to Lack of Finances and Affordable Housing. Many of the Contributing Factors are Out of Their Control.

According to the Local Newspaper and Local Television Stations there is a lack of Affordable Housing. Hard Working People are Being Squeezed Out of Their housing by an Inflated Housing Market.

A Large Percent of Our Fellow Citizens are One Paycheck from the Streets. This is Not Just a Local Problem But, Also a National Problem. We Must Not Look the Other Way and Ignore Those Living on Our Streets. Tomorrow it Could Be Us.
