SAVE an Architectural Icon by Selling It

Paul Rudolph was a mastermind of Modern American Architecture. One of his greatest works was built in Goshen, New York and uneducated local legislature - who has no consideration for Art History - is pursuing teardown instead of accepting an offer to purchase it.
After neglect and multiple mindless renovations, Orange County Legislature and specifically Steven M Neuhaus, intend to strip the masterpiece of its beauty and potentially create an even-worse experience and use for the building.
Instead, Gene Kaufman (NYC Architect and Principal at Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman Architects) has offered to purchase the structure and to design a new facility for less than the county will pay to renovate the existing structure. He proposes to return the building to its original glory and then repurpose it to artist spaces. Understandably, the structure does not fulfill every person's "taste"; however, regardless of contemporary flavor, it is a masterpiece of a famous American Architect. Europeans respect and cherish their greatest creations and America needs to step up and stop tearing everything down.
Please help save this important modern monument by signing this petition to STOP the takeover by Steven M Neuhaus! The Paul Rudolph Masterpiece speaks to a time when Architecture was an intelligent Artistic Creation and not a strip mall with no thought, emotion, nor consideration for its inhabitants!
