OBACCP was founded in 2017 by a small group of concerned citizens who are committed to the humane treatment and care of all animals in Orange Beach.  Utilizing a Trap-Neuter-Return model, OBACCP has humanely vaccinated spayed or neutered over 500 community cats. Most importantly, OBACCP has over 100 cats adopted into homes.

Through OBACCP's Trap-Neuter-Return program, cats are humanely trapped, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Stray cats (cats socialized to humans) and kittens are adopted into homes, and healthy adult feral cats are returned to their outdoor homes, where their lives are greatly improved without the strains of mating behaviors and pregnancy. Feeding stations managed by a colony caregiver following best practices, helps establish a stable, sterilized, managed colony of cats to fend off newcomer cats.

Despite these successes, Orange Beach city officials and staff are developing a new policy which could dramatically impact the OBACCP program with the end result of inhumanely trapping and eradicating all community cats in Perdido and potentially throughout our community.

Please sign and share this petition to help us protect Orange Beach TNR and send a loud and clear message to the elected officials and staff of the City of Orange Beach that we as concerned citizens are asking that the highly successful OBACCP TNR program be retained and supported in our community. Further, we ask the city to move forward with a clear plan to develop and build a no kill domestic animal shelter in Orange Beach. To donate to OBACCP, visit our website
