We advocating for Direct Support professional that works with developmental disable individuals to get paid more on their mileage rate. At least $2.50 with the price of gas. At the moment, mileague rate is $0.58 cents, some agencies are paying $0.50 a mile to drive participant around that it is not enough. As someone willing to make a change, I’m advocating to our wonderful staff that works plenty of hours assisting families  and their loved ones. There is already a shortages of workers in the fields, that so prevent our individuals to hire staff, now with the price of gas increasing must likely no one will sign up to work in this field if they have to drive. Let’s do something to advocate for our wonderful workers, they deserve as they also are heroes.
