The Zoning Board (LUZ) is meeting July 19th to determine how to move forward with building a mixed use storage facility on riverfront adjacent property. 

Currently there is a downtown overlay preventing these types of facilities. The original vote at the last city council meeting was sent back to the LUZ for re evaluation due to large opposition from residents. This storage facility will occupy prime valuable river adjacent property and runs the risk of adding more dead space to an area in need of shopping and dining. 

The developer claims to be adding mixed use space to the project however a storage facility is not necessary. If this bill is approved there may be significant changes from what is proposed to what is actually built. We are asking residents of the San Marco Place, Peninsula, and Strand to voice their opposition via this petition.
