Traffic in Leeds is bad enough already. It is pompous to presume that all car drivers can abandon their cars for buses. When a local consultation event took place in Chapeltown, it was interesting to note that the presenters came in private vehicles - of course they couldn’t take a bus carrying their bulky display equipment! So why is this not considered necessary for the plebs???
Work is already under way on the roads, causing massive disruptions so why bother consulting local residents and road users? It seems like the decisions have been made - foregone conclusion. Insulting and disappointing.
