In Wellington County and across Southern Ontario, the Ford Government is forcing urban boundary expansion on rural municipalities and paving over some of the best agricultural land in the country.

Every day, Ontario loses 319 acres of prime farmland to urban sprawl, gravel pits and wasteful highway projects like Highway 413; all fuelled by Fords destructive Bill 5 legislation.

Our food and farming sector gives Ontarians a powerful economic advantage against the Global Trade War while keeping our grocery bills affordable and supporting local employment opportunities. Preserving agricultural land protects diverse ecosystems and is essential to the sustainability of our ground water resources.

There is a place and a pace for building affordable, sustainable and prosperous communities; guided by carefully researched plans through a democratic process. Don’t let Fords bulldozers push us around! Together, we can push back!
