My husband is deaf. We have had to walk out of movies because the caption machine isn’t working or the battery dies mid movie.
We have had people yell at us and kick our chairs because they think we are recording the movie.

deaf people deserve to watch movies too. it’s not their fault and we need to put the same effort into them as we would anyone else

I have hearing loss and it is always a struggle going to the movie theaters and having to deal with the flimsy caption devices. I hope that this changes.

I'm hard of hearing. Yes I wear my hearing aids, but even with them in, I can still expect to miss up to 30% of the movie's dialouge. It would certainly help someone like me to have open captions.

My wife and her family suffer from deafness and we can not enjoy movies together when she can not read the captions since most movies (nearly all) do not provide captioning
