THE SRB AT THE OPEN ACADEMY IS UNDER THREAT OF CLOSURE. This closure will have a drastic affect on the social, emotional and behavioural lives of those who currently study there that have ASD. If there's one thing that we all know about ASD is that change is not something we cope with very well and will cause an extreme amount of stress for the young people that are there. Speaking as a former student of the Open academy SRB I have seen first hand how much it helps! It is much needed and closing it means less children with ASD can get the help and support they need to go through their years at high school including their GCSES
