Shervin Hajipour's song 'Baraye' has become an anthem for Iranian protestors both in the country and abroad. Meaning "For" or "Because Of" Shervin's song used real tweets from Iranians about what they protest for to compose his song. 

Not only has the song become a beacon of hope against a repressive regime but Shervin himself had to bear the consequence of speaking of, being arrested by the Islamic Republic of Iran shortly after releasing his song. 

'Baraye' could not be a more perfect fit for the Grammy's newly released category of "Best Song for Social Change". However as it's not commercially released, it's not eligible for Grammy nomination. 

We are here by calling on the Grammy's to extend their deadline opening to include Shervin Hajipour's song 'Baraye' in their consideration for "Best Song For Social Change" in 2023.
