A nation which put little or no emphasis on their libraries and make claims of education for its people are like someone filling their mouth with food and trying to speak

It is important to have a public library to help foster our nation's youth educational development.

My father worked in the library and printry at one stage as a bookbinder... He has now passed and would be appalled at the library's state of dereliction... Every community needs a library to enhance the imagination and aid in the education of its young people. Libraries are more than storage houses for books... They can be the very centre of a community.

I am signing this petition because the government of Grenada has fail to implement their policies to educate the people of Grenada. They have failed in every aspect with the infrastructure of the development of the country. The vast majority of the people are living in poverty and basic education.

I am signing as my mother Elva Juerakhan was an active member of developing the library

As Stephen Antoine said, "Any country without a public library is doomed for failure." You cannot ask the people to be educated when the main forum of education is unavailable to them.
