Guarantee Grandparents Rights In Ontario

We are hoping to change the existing law in Ontario which does not guarantee grandparents access to their grandchildren. Far too often these days families are separating and this affects more than just the children's relationship with the mother and father, it can have a drastic effect on the other members of the family who have had a close and loving relationship with the children. Unfortunately the court doesn't recognize the rights of these family members, there are no appropriate forms to fill out and you literally have to go through a divorce proceeding with the parents of the children to seek any access. This process takes many months and there is no guarantee you will be able to see your grandchildren in the end. Ontario is one of the only provinces in Canada that doesn't recognize grandparent's rights. This has to change.
