I would have loved to learn anything in school about African-American textured hair. It's a shame that it's not being taught, refusing clients based on hair texture doesn't exactly make me feel good. We should be more diverse by now, there's more options than chemical straightening.

Its the right thing to do. All types of hair should be taught. We have all types of people:)

3C and 4C hair need special care and attention and it’s definitely important that this hair type is included in the program.

I was so grateful when I finally found a hairdresser who knew how to cut according to my curls. It's a very valuable skill that applies to more than half the population of Canada!

I’m mixed and i strongly believe textured hair should taught in schools. I’ve struggled going to stylists who can’t work with my hair for years to the point where I’ve been made to feel ashamed of my texture because it’s different from the normal beauty standard.

Its necessary for any person to want to go into a hair salon to beautify without being afraid of coming out bald
