Doug Ford has finally implemented the provincial vaccine passport after refusing it for months. But, unfortunately, the passport has many holes, and it is just another half measure. For example, it is mandatory for the customer at the bar to be fully vaccinated, but employees don't need to do so. This does not make any sense.

He is again failing Ontario by proroguing the legislation until after the federal election when we are in a crisis. Schools are about to be open, and hospitals are about to be overrun. We looked at the grim projection from the Ontario Science Table that we could be having another dark fall and winter if we don't take serious measures and reach over 85% full vaccination rate coverage now. Yet, Doug Ford did not mandate vaccines for healthcare and education workers and went into hiding. As a result, hospital patients and children under 12 that is not eligible for vaccination will be at higher risk.

We are in an emergency, and in times like this, we need a present leader, not the absent one. Due to Doug Ford's failure and his threat of having all of us go backwards, he should resign IMMEDIATELY!! Ontario at this time needs a leader who is willing to take serious measures at the right time.
